The MAve Hotel Wall Murals Designed by Novo Arts
The MAve Hotel was a 72-room boutique hotel set on the corner of Madison Avenue just four blocks from the iconic Flatiron building. The Flatiron District location in Manhattan offers easy access to major offices, some great restaurants, as well as the subway. It is now Hotel 27 by Luxurban New York.
Objective: The MAve Hotel sought to distinguish itself in the highly competitive New York boutique hotel market. The minimalist interior lacked visual elements that could captivate guests and reflect the vibrant culture of the Flatiron District. The management needed an innovative solution to infuse character into the hotel spaces while enhancing the overall guest experience.
Results: Successfully designed 12 floors of bespoke wall murals that combined urban themes with abstract artistry. The murals featured bold colors, geometric patterns, and cultural motifs inspired by Manhattan’s architectural heritage and street art scene. Strategically placed throughout common areas such as the lobby, corridors, and select guest rooms, these murals transformed previously sterile walls into vibrant canvases.
Enhanced Aesthetics: The murals created an inviting atmosphere that resonated with guests.
Stronger Brand Identity: The unique art installations became synonymous with The MAve Hotel’s brand, setting it apart from other boutique hotels in the area.
Increased Social Media Engagement: The murals served as Instagram-worthy backdrops, encouraging guests to share their experiences, thereby organically boosting the hotel’s online presence.
