Branding application for CW Sports (2023-2025)

Recognizing the importance of live sports and other sports programming to broadcast audiences, Nexstar launched CW Sports in 2023, a sports programming division of The CW. Since then, it has added sports programming to the network’s primetime line-up including Inside the NFL, 100 Days to Indy, and the exclusive broadcast rights to WWE NXT beginning in 2024. CW Sports also expanded the number of hours of network programming on the weekend in 2023 to offer LIV Golf, ACC college football and basketball games, and the future launch of NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturdays beginning in 2025.

Nexstar Ad Sales’ Creative Services Objective: The advertising sales team needed a way to quickly distribute recaps and analysis of the audience and viewing performance of Sports on the CW. Creative Services and Marketing was approached to give thes recaps PowerPoint onesheets, Newsletters, and Social Media graphics to keep discussions going with advertising agencies in New York.

Success: The CW Network curated a compelling and diversified programming line-up which generated more total viewership in 2023 than it did in 2022 under prior management. The sales enablement pieces gave media buyers consideration and increased purchase intent throughout the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
